Animal Pharmaceuticals Plus

At one point in time, I was tasked with redesigning our current Animal Pharmaceuticals labels, marketing materials, and more for an upcoming rebrand. We wanted to create a departure from the busyness of our current branding and retool it into something minimalistic, pharmaceutical, and sleek. Upon print, these labels were supposed to have metallic substrate pressed into the colored portions of the label, as well as an applied texture.

Mojo Fido

Prior to my employment with Animal Pharmaceuticals, our CEO became interested in designing a line of products that relied on design conventions of the 1970’s. There was a fascination in introducing certain psychedelic design elements, as well as bold and bright ballooned type, and 3D design that was commonplace for the decade. We went through several design iterations, some of them are seen below.

Maddie’s American Pet Products

One of our clients that I had the pleasure of working closely with was Maddie’s American Pet Products. This client desired to create a brand that, ultimately, focused on the fact that their products were American sourced and manufactured. There is a sense of family and play to this design that doesn’t undermine the focus on the healthy ingredients or benefits.

Bliss Feed Farm & Pet Supply

One of my favorite experiences at Animal Pharmaceuticals was in helping small clinics, resellers, and feed stores achieve the heightened design elements they desired for their brands. Bliss Feed at the time didn’t have one of the most well put together logos, and their branding was a bit mismatched, so I started from scratch creating concepts for a new logo and a new aesthetic, something that felt rustic, familial, and warm.

Pride Tails

I was so excited at the prospect of designing custom labels for Pride Tails! Being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Pride Tails was not the kind of customer I wanted to take lightly. This customer was interested in a brand that was both minimalistic, while embodying the definition of pride. Prior to the modern pride flag that includes the colors of the transgender flag, as well as the Philadelphia black and brown colors for LGBTQIA+ POC inclusion, I used the revamped Gilbert Baker flag containing the common six stripe coloration. The customer was excited at the completed design, and I felt extremely excited having assisted the LGBTQIA+ community in even a small way. Unfortunately it seems like this customer has closed their shop for now, but I hope they reopen.

Just Fur Paws Pet Grooming

One of the last clients I worked with before leaving Animal Pharmaceuticals, Just Fur Paws was interested in representing their brand through specific brand guidelines and colors. This customer already had a logo at the time and so my job was to help convey that fun, whimsical, carefree brand that they embodied. The pastel colors they provided were perfect for this theme, and I wanted the swirls of the labels to represent the subs of their shampoos and grooming products.

AcuVetDoc

One of the more interesting clients I have worked with, AcuVetDoc is a holistic veterinary practice that utilizes both traditional veterinary medicine, as well as forms of alternative medicine like acupuncture, cryotherapy, chiropractic, and herbal therapy. This customer expressed interest in having a boutique style that also reflected their traditionalist pharmaceutical views on medicine.
